Project: NPJR-2019/10139, Nordplus Junior 2019
The tittle of our project is ''The significant role of fish in our lives”.
This project will be implemented by the coordinator Dravnieki primary school
(Latvia) and two partners: Riebini Secondary school (Latvia) and a partner from Estonia, Puka Secondary School.
Our team for this Nordplus Junior mobility program will consist of students from 10 to 16 years old (grade 4 until 11).
The project is focused on creating an interest and comprehension in pupils about the importance of fish resources. It will expand their knowledge about local water inhabitants - fish and their significant role in our lives. It will educate our new generation and the whole community about wise co-living with nature and intelligent use of natural water resources.
As an international project it will give an opportunity to see similarities as well as differences in the areas related to this topic. This is very important in every learning process to contribute to a positive outcome.
Promoting a positive attitude and cooperation in everyday life this project will activate students participation in nature processes and motivate them to behave in environmentally friendly way, which is a priority in our modern society.
Working on the project in a multicultural team through theoretical and practical activities, seminars, workshops and field trips the children will gain new real-life experiences and deeper knowledge about their local water inhabitants. The results of this project will lead to long term positive changes.
